ABOUT THE MOON:
The moon is a feminine symbol that represents our inner world, intuition, emotions (known and hidden), unconscious beliefs, desires, dreams, shadow self, fears, and worries. It orbits the earth about every 29 days. Each month Mama Moon or La Luna invites us to go within, become still, reconnect with ourselves, and MOONIFEST what our spirit, heart, mind, and body need to live our best lives. MOONIFEST is the act of manifesting with the power and energy of the moon.
Takerah Mafi says, "the moon is a loyal companion. It never leaves. It is always there watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day it is a different version of itself. Sometime weak and wane. Sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human."
The new moon represents new beginnings, fresh starts, and new ideas. It invites us to slow down and carve out time to retreat, regain our strength, recharge, and become MOONFUL! It's a good time to tap into our intuition, set intentions, and establish boundaries with people that drain us.
The Thriving Mindfully Moon Circle and Sound Bath Meditation was created to celebrate the connection we have to the moon and to empower you with tools, resources, sacred space, and a diverse community to MOONIFEST what you need and desire in your life, relationships, career, and business each month.
The Thriving Moon Circle and Sound Bath Meditation is held at Qi Kratom CBD Tea, 1517 U Street, NW, in Washington, DC. During the event, you will learn how to:
- Make the moon your BFF, Bae, and Boo with mindful self-care practices including sound bath meditation, gentle yoga, reiki, crystal therapy, chakra healing, and other rituals from around the world.
- Dive deep into yourself and discover your sweet spots, spicy edges, and stuff that has you stuck in fear, doubt, lack, limitation, resentment, and/or resistance.
- Shine light on and begin to release and forgive what no longer serves you.
- Set intentions that will help you MOONIFEST (manifest with moon energy) what you need and desire in your life, relationships, career, and business.
- Commit to your intentions and receive tips on creating a MOONIFEST action plan that focuses on small steps, accountability, and self-celebration.
Everyone is welcome to participate! That means all human beings with diverse skin colors and identities and from diverse age groups, backgrounds, communities, and countries. All folx are welcome!

The moon circle is led by Ananda Leeke, an award-winning wellness professional, author, and artist. Ananda discovered mindfulness and wellness when her career as a young lawyer and investment banker did not produce the level of success she expected. During her healing journey, she studied and practiced meditation, yoga, reiki, journaling, art-making, and creative writing. They helped her develop self-care practices and become resilient. As a result, she became a certified yoga and mindfulness teacher, reiki master practitioner, and artist-in-residence for the Smith Center for Healing and the Arts. Today, she helps people, businesses, organizations, and communities become resilient and thrive with mindfulness, self-care, and creativity as the Chief Mindfulness Officer of Ananda Leeke Consulting, a wellness company that focuses on personal and professional development. In addition, she hosts and produces the Thriving Mindfully Show on Eaton Radio and teaches meditation classes and mindfulness workshops at Qi Kratom CBD Tea.
