Heidi Fuhrman is our special guide for this fall photo walk. She will not burden the walk with an instructional class; rather, she will help point out photographic opportunities and approaches during a 1-2 hour walk on our carriage trails, with both broad vistas and close-ups.
Heidi’s enthusiasm has guided numerous photography groups through natural settings. Trained as a lawyer, she displays attention to detail and nuance in her photography. As a long-distance runner, she also uses her cell phone to photograph sunrises and wildlife deep in the woods.
Heidi has exhibited in many private and public venues in Westchester and NYC. Most recently, she has focused on projects photographing “fog” and “ice,” and these large collections both have been exhibited in public gallery spaces. Several of her images were recently on view at the New York Hall of Science’s exhibit on forest birds and at the Rockefeller Preserve’s Gallery exhibit on carnivores. Locally, her photographs are routinely featured in Rockefeller State Park Preserve web and print publications. Heidi is also co-president of the 100-member Color Camera Club of Westchester.
