Recommended by Fodor's! "...if you're looking to feel like a local in Brooklyn, take the Sunday Funday tour of Williamsburg..."
Stroll around New York’s trendiest borough and soak up the best of Brooklyn. With a local leading the way, the itinerary covers New Yorker-approved destinations and skips the rest, so attendees can absorb all this vibrant and eclectic neighborhood’s charm and energy without missing a beat. Check out the old industrial buildings of historic Brewer’s Row, pop by Artists & Fleas to see what treasures are on offer, enjoy a unique guided hot sauce tasting, and take in the gorgeous NYC skyline view on the waterfront.
Your knowledgeable local guide will dish out the history of the neighborhood while you savor the local flavor that is unique to this bohemian mecca, all made right here in Brooklyn. Of course, a Sunday Funday wouldn’t be complete without an adult beverage or 2, so attendees enjoy the chance to sip on some New York wines and brewed-in-Brooklyn beer. Before the tour ends, attendees enjoy delicious but unordinary ice cream flavors made by an Iron Chef contestant as well as a treat from a new, popular food market!
Tour also includes a special welcome and shopping at Artists & Fleas!
-Beer at Brooklyn Brewery, Specialty Cocktail at Mable's Smokehouse and Beer or Wine at the neighborhood's oldest bar!
-Hot Sauce Tasting led by a hot sauce "sommelier"
-BBQ Sampler, Ice Cream and Polish speciality or Chocolate Tasting (depending on availability)
-Insider Brooklyn Shopping experience with free gift
-History of the Neighborhood
-Stunning NYC Views
-Tons of Great Photo Opportunities!
Please note that due to COVID-19, stops are subject to change at any time.
Things to Know:
The tour currently runs on Sunday, but contact us for a private tour any day of the week! The tour is 3 hours long and you will walk a total of 1.5 miles. We are going plastic free so guests are asked to bring a full, reusable water bottle. We can refill along the way.
How to get there (it's easy!):
We recommend taking public transportation if you're coming from Manhattan (it's super quick and easy - just take the L subway line to the first stop in Brooklyn, Bedford Avenue!) but if you're driving, there are parking garages nearby. Meet your guide 10 minutes before the tour starts, in the Williamsburg Mini Mall located two blocks from the Bedford Avenue L subway station. The exact address is 218 Bedford Avenue. The guide will be inside near the front entrance.
