Project United Knowledge seeks to introduce students to entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship has played roles for others to create jobs, discover new skills, and even support their community. If a teen aspires to discover undiscovered ideas, then we would love to see them this summer.
Our overall goal is to expose youth to entrepreneurship and provide hands-on experiences to better equip youth in areas of speaking to an audience, using social media with a purpose to gain an audience, and the Lean Canvas.
Public Speaking
Each day youth will speak aloud on a business idea that they choose or is given to them. We will discuss areas on how to pitch a business whether it is customer-focused, founder-focused, or a story. Pitching a business as an entrepreneur is essential to work within the community.
Digital Marketing
The current entrepreneur has to use social media to their advantage in order to engage with their customers and brand advocates. Teens use social media each day, but how effective are they using it? We will provide data-driven goals, activities, and best practices to demonstrate how social media and digital marketing can help teens go online for a purpose.
Lean Canvas
The lean canvas showcases parts of an entrepreneur’s business one document: Customer, problem, solution, value proposition, messaging, revenue, costs, distribution, operations, and basic needs. We will only discuss 2-3 parts of the lean canvas to give youth a head’s up on how founders and their team think about their business. We will utilize portions of the CO. STARTERS curriculum and supplementary materials.
