PILL stands for Portsmouth Improv Learning Lab. Beth Boynton formed PILL in 2015 as a forum for playing with improv activities outside the scope of comedy or performance. She was using activities in communication workshops as a nurse consultant and found them to be a fun and effective teaching tool. In the last few years of teaching, it has become obvious that playing together is one biggest benefits!

In this workshop, we'll will start out with learning a few basic rules and then launch into play. Activities will be in pairs and circle groups and you can always opt to watch. Sometimes that is just as much fun! You'll be surprised how easy activities are and what a stress buster playful improv with nurse peers can be.If you are a nurse or know nurses who could use a good laugh, please help spread the word.
