Betsy Michel RN, BSN is a retired oncology nurse from Minneapolis. After several years of working in hospitals and leading a community-based research group that enrolled oncology patients in clinical trials, she developed a passion for facilitating support and education groups for patients with chronic illnesses. She now volunteers leading and teaching support groups on complementary therapies such as mediation and guided imagery to help alleviate or lessen the effects of chronic illness. She spends the winters in the California desert with her husband and enjoys movies, cooking, and playing and watching tennis.
