One of the easiest and most dramatic ways to improve the quality of your homebrewed beer is through a yeast starter. A yeast starter is essentially a tiny batch of beer through which yeast cells are propagated, or reproduced, to increase the number of cells pitched into 5 gallons of fresh wort. The secret to a yeast starter is in aerobic metabolism or keeping oxygen in the starter so that the yeast ferments very little, mostly just increases in cell count. So, if your ready to improve the quality of your homebrew, than join us in this hand-on class and learn how to build your own yeast starter.
