STEM Studio facilitated by TGR EDU: Create
Imagine a place where creativity and innovation are paramount. Where teachers take on the role of students, delving into hands-on STEM activities. A place where inquiry-based learning leads to real-world applications. Where like-minded educators gather to collaborate and take risks. This is STEM Studio: an immersion in STEM education based on transformative educational philosophy facilitated by TGR EDU: Create. Join us to explore strategies that will enhance your curricula and prepare your students for careers in STEM.

Program Focus: Developing a Culture of Inquiry through Effective 5E Instruction
Educators attending this STEM Studio will enhance their experience in lesson design by examining elements of inquiry and the 5E instructional model (Engage, Explore, Explain, Evaluate, Elaborate) through STEM activities. Following this training, educators will be able to join the TGR EDU: Create network to learn and share best practices through digital forums and an ongoing webinar series.

Incentives:

- Share and gain new engaging lesson ideas to implement in the classroom.
- Enhance the current teaching tool kit of instructional strategies.
- Engage as the learner and gain the perspective of the student through STEM lessons.
- Each participant will receive material support for implementation back in the classroom.

Details:Monday, June 17 - Friday, June 21, 2019 (5-day training)
9:00am - 3:30pm

Registration Fees:  There is no cost to attend STEM Studio. In order to secure your spot, a refundable $50 deposit through this Eventbrite registration is required by June 9.
Upon completion of the full 5-day STEM Studio, your deposit will be returned.

If you are unable to attend STEM Studio after registering, you must notify David Tong (dtong@tgrfoundation.org) 3 weeks prior to the first day of STEM Studio or forfeit the deposit.
