Event Description | As STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) become increasingly popular across the region, how might we intentionally design project-based learning experiences that are inviting and accessible to students with specific academic needs. This workshop will delve into popular STEAM concepts, explore independent education plans, and provide participants the opportunity to design a universally designed STEAM project leveraging Universal design for learning (UDL), a framework to improve and optimize teaching and learning for all people based on scientific insights into how humans learn.

Skill Level | Beginner – This workshop is appropriate for STEAM teachers interested in designing inclusive and accessible learning experiences and for special education teachers interested in learning more about STEAM.
