Starting My Private Practice: Where do I begin?

Picture this: you finished school, reflecting on your accomplishment, feet up on the table, you are eating Ben and Jerry's ice cream thinking "wow, that was a lot of work!" Well guess what?!? You have a lot more work to do! But don't worry, help is here!

Starting a private or group practice is starting an official business. There are specific steps to follow, research to be done, mistakes to be made, and vision to create. Reflect on who you want to provide services to; are you more geared towards children, adults, addiction, or personality disorders? Do you want involvement with victim's compensation or probation funding? Are you interested in being a part of the insurance panels? The big question is; what is your niche market?

Do you have a name and tax number? Do you want to be an LLC or PLLC? What is the difference? Have you decided on a location? Brick and Mortar building? Teletherapy? Do you have insurance? Gosh!! So many questions. Come to my workshop and lets answer all of them!!
