During this workshop, stained glass Master Artisan Dan Hayward will share his techniques for creating “snowflakes” from stained glass. Dan will help you through each of the steps from selecting materials, shaping with a grinder, applying copper foil, positioning the pieces, soldering, and finishing.
Participants will be able to select pre-cut diamond shapes from a variety of colors and textures of glass, a piece for the center of the snowflake and half-marbles to fit between the points. The end result will be a ready-to-hang piece from 5”-6” in diameter which will provide a festive accent in any window year-round. Each participant will create one 5”- 6” diameter snowflake.
Cancellation/Refund Policy:
The Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen does not provide cash refunds for cancellation of classes unless the class is canceled by the instructor or the Guild. In order to request a withdrawal from a workshop, students must contact the Guild by phone 717-431-8706 or email handmade@pacrafts.org at least 7 days before the class. Students who request a withdrawal at least 7 days prior to the class will receive a 100% tuition class credit.
Please note that we are unable to provide refunds for missed classes due to personal scheduling conflicts.
