So you booked the gig! Now what? How do you prepare for your role. There are no rehearsals. And if you do show up memorised, what happens if your lines/ scene have changed. How DOES your process prepare you to be on set? And how is it that some Actors can change a one-day role into a recurring role? This scene study workshop will explore ways of approaching a scene - for tv and film - so that you, The Actor, can be best prepared when you do arrive on set.
In ths workshop, Nike and the Actors take a complex scene from page to screen, uncovering the screenwriters 'code' and bringing the performance alive through the characters and the beats. The group transforms the information that is written in 2D, into 3D. This is an exciting workshop. It moves the Actor away from the line-learning exercise and into the craft of acting (or being) for the camera.
