The Spokane County Sheriff's Office Marine Unit is offering a free Boater Education Class open to the public 12 yrs and older.
Join us for a day of in-classroom training on boaters safety and education. In this class you will learn all the necessary information to be successful on the state exam. The exam will be given in this course.
The course is taught by Spokane County Marine Enforcement Deputies.
State law requires all boat operators born after January 1st, 1955 to carry a Washington State Boater Education card when operating motorboats with 15 horsepower or greater (including personal watercraft or any motorized watercraft).
You will leave the class with all the documentation you will need to mail away to Washington State Parks & Recreation. Parks & Rec charges $10 for the card, payable to them when you mail in your documentation.
