It was summertime in Chicago and songwriter David Gates pulled over on Michigan Ave. when he heard drummer Robert Rashid playing on the street. The two became instant friends and co-founded Spacebones, a Chicago rock band. Now, alongside bassist Steve O’toole, guitarist Tyrone Reed, and keyboardist Patrick Hubbard, Spacebones has released multiple musical projects, toured the country, and runs the DIY venue Hungry City out of their studio in Humboldt Park with rapper Woes (Zach Soghomonian).
