Soul Sunday continues at Natalie’s with the Derek DiCenzo TRio, who will be performing from 11 am until 1 pm. DiCenzo has been a mainstay on the Columbus music scene for 25 years. A gifted jazz guitarist, DiCenzo can be heard around town playing piano, bass, steel drum, organ and accordion. Derek has appeared with Monty Alexander, Diane Schuur, RJD2 and the Columbus Jazz Orchestra. He can be heard on recordings by Jim Hall, Charlie Byrd, Monty Alexander, Tony Monaco and Bobby Floyd. Performing with Derek will be accomplished drummer Aaron Scott and multi-talented Dave DeWitt on bass.
Soul Sunday at Natalie’s is held on the first Sunday of each month, and includes a delicious Brunch from 11 am until 3 pm, with the Derek DiCenzo TRio performing between 11 am and 1 pm. The Gospel Soul Brunch show begins at 2:30 pm and presents the best national and regional gospel artists, hosted and coordinated by Debra James Tucker. The evening show, hosted by Paisha Thomas, features a variety of soul bands and artists starting at 8 pm.
