SomaWorks Connect: Intro to Contact Improv
You are invited to let go of your preconceptions and perceived limitations—your body’s inherent dexterity, intelligence, creativity, and grace promise to surprise you.
The dance of Contact Improvisation is built on a simple premise: What if we dance in connection with each other without any choreography? Respecting our personal boundaries, we’re all in this together. To stay safe we won’t grasp each other physically or metaphorically. We’ll hold a brave space of sensory attunement; one in which we invite personal challenge while honoring each other.
When: Tuesday, December 3 + 10 from 6:30-8pm.
Where: JUMP Move Studio on the fifth floor, take a right out of the elevators.
Cost: $15 for single class or $25 for both.

Personal Release Statement: I understand that the activities and services related to my participation may have an element of hazard or inherent danger and I take full responsibility for my actions and physical condition. The participant further agrees to hold harmless JUMP for damages arising out of such claims. I assume the liability of and agree to compensate JUMP for any damages other than normal wear and tear of the facility and equipment. When entering the JUMP premises, you are entering an area where photography, audio and video recording will occur. By entering these premises, you consent to all recording media and its release, publication, exhibition or reproduction to be used for any JUMP purpose. I further waive my rights to all claims in connection with any JUMP publication, regardless of its purpose. JUMP is not responsible for replacing lost, misplaced, stolen or damaged belongings and valuables; therefore, JUMP recommends that visitors bring only essential items to the facility.

What is the refund policy?
We depend on your enrollment for a successful class so please plan your schedule carefully. Classes which do not meet minimum enrollment are subject to cancellation. Refunds are issued in full if the class or program is cancelled, if you cancel at least seven days before the starting date of the class, or for documented medical reasons. Please email
