After the round table, the group will tour 3 areas where Solar is applying Visual Management in the Manufacturing/Assembly area, the Engineering Design floor, and Transactional office processes such as Finance, HR and IT. The goal at Solar is to make processes visual, in order to uncover potential velocity and quality improvement opportunities. This sets the stage for Employees to engage in problem solving to eliminate waste, and streamline processes. The ultimate goal is to deliver more value to the Customer through continuous improvement of People, Quality, Velocity, and Cost.
Attendees must wear flat heel shoes that cover the top of the foot. Solar will provide safety glasses.
