Socioeconomic Inequality and Child Development
This workshop will survey the state-of-the-art research into how socioeconomic inequality relates to children’s cognitive and brain development. We will consider links between socioeconomic adversity and both behavioral and brain development. We will consider evidence for interventions, with a focus on plasticity and resilience. Throughout the day, we focus on the ability to evaluate, critique and interpret scientific evidence as it relates to the neuroscience of adversity.
