What is Social Security Q&A Brown Bag?   If you are nearing retirement, you probably have questions about Social Security. Are you wondering when to start? How work affects your benefits? What about benefits for spouses or widows?    Making matters even more confusing, recent legal changes make Social Security filing options different for people born even a few years apart.   Join us for an informative, informal session to learn more about your Social Security options. Among topics we'll discuss are how and when to file for retirement benefits, the types of benefits, and how work affects retirement benefits.   Feel free to bring your lunch! The workshop time is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Missoula Aging Services, 337 Stephens Avenue. Who leads the Social Security Q&A? Volunteer Mary Olson has 29 years of experience working as a claims representative and technical expert at the Social Security Administration.   FAQs: What if I cannot afford to pay for a ticket or need help registering on the Eventbrite site? Call the MAS Resource Center at 406-728-7682 during our normal business hours Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or email help@missoulaagingservices.org. No one will be turned away based on a hardship to pay.   Is there an age limit to enter the event? No, but the information discussed will be most relevant to people aged 59 and above.   What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? Missoula Aging Services is accessible on Mountain Line city bus. Parking is available on Florence Street.   Are there special instructions upon arrival at the event? The entrance to the building is on Stephens Avenue. Please check in at the front desk reception area where you will receive a guest identification badge. The event will take place in the main conference room.   Do I need to bring a registration "ticket" to the workshop for entry? You do not need to print off your ticket but if you do, we gladly accept it as it speeds up the check-in process.
