SISTA (SISTERS informing SISTERS on topics about Sexual Health)

We're  glad to announce that we will be having our SISTA Workshop at our main office located at 921B East New York Ave between Utica and Schenectady. Keep in mind that this is a closed group, you must attend all 5 sessions.

All participants that RSVP for the workshop must also check for a confirmation email from the event organizer (shope@diasporacs.org) confirming attendance so please be sure your email address is correct. You must respond to this email for your RSVP to be confirmed. Thank you for your cooperation.

We will be starting a day and evening cycle in June. 

The day cycle will begin Monday June 1, 2020 from 12pm-2pm

• Session 1: Monday June 1 from 12pm-2pm


• Session 2: Friday January 20 from 12pm-2pm


• Session 3: Monday January 27 from 12pm-2pm


• Session 4: Friday February 3 from 12pm-2pm


• Session 5: Monday February 10 from 12pm-2pm

The evening cycle will begin on Thursday June 4, 2020 from 12pm-2pm

• Session 1: Thursday June 4 4pm-6pm


• Session 2: Tuesday June 9 4pm-6pm


• Session 3: Thursday June 11 4pm-6pm


• Session 4: Tuesday June 16 4pm-6pm


• Session 5: Thursday June 18 4pm-6pm

Must be 18 and over and be ready to be open minded and have a fun filled time. 

SISTA program is 5 two-hour sessions for HIV negative women of color ages 18 and up that consist of group discussions with topics that include ethnic and gender pride, behavioral self-management, and coping skills. SISTA was designed for African American/Caribbean who are at risk for HIV and STD infection. 

FREE roundtrip METRO CARD and refreshments will be provided during each session. Participants who complete SISTA will receive Gift cards, a certificate for completion and great giveaways.
