About This Program:

Simone Joyaux, ACFRE and nonprofit consultant, is a renowned, provocative, engaging speaker on the topic of board development, and AFP South Sound is proud to present two programs by her that will help local nonprofits maximize the effectiveness of their boards.

This morning session is specifically designed for development professionals who want to maximize the fundraising effectiveness of their boards. The evening session, designed for board members, executive directors and development professionals, will provide how-tos of good governance, including developing effective meetings and board member performance expectations.

Simone’s presentations at fundraising conferences are usually standing-room only, so don’t miss these unique opportunity to hear her speak!

Program Context & What You’ll Learn:

Imagine what your nonprofit could do with a more effective fundraising board. (Go on—really think about it.)

As development professionals, it’s something we all dream of—but how exactly can you make it happen through your role? How can you tangibly support your organization’s leadership and board in a way that maximizes the effectiveness of what you can accomplish together?

If you attended Simone’s evening program, you’ll have learned what it means to create effective board meetings and board member performance expectations. Now zero in on your role and how you can help.

In this session, designed for fundraising professionals, we’ll talk about how to support your organization by getting board members more involved in fundraising—and not just through trainings—in ways that advance development throughout your organization and expand what’s possible.

Additionally, this session will address the following CFRE competencies (4 CFRE credits available to attendees):

  • Volunteer Involvement
  • Leadership and Management

Simone consistently packs rooms of 500+ as one of AFP’s most popular international conference presenters, so you don’t want to miss hearing this “fundraising rock star.”

As local fundraising consultant Jan Brzzell, PhD, ACFRE, shares:

“Simone will have your board members believing that they came up with her ideas!”
