About Derrick Martinez

Derrick Martinez is the owner and creative director of 2U Media Productions, a Metro Detroit-based media company that produces video and photography for businesses, nonprofits and individuals. Derrick is an award-winning filmmaker who has contributed to three full feature-length films, short films, documentaries and music videos in Michigan and Los Angeles.

Derrick mentors students from Madonna University's BCA Capstone class every year for their senior project. He teaches directing, camera techniques and composition, lighting, audio, production management, assistant directing, scheduling and script writing.
