Come help setup a new pop up food pantry to help serve the Rogers Park community. In response to the growing need for food in the Rogers Park Community (due to other food pantries closing), Care for Real is expanding service to that community with a weekly pop-up pantry every Tuesday, beginning May 19 at the United Church of Rogers Park.

Volunteers are needed to help unload food packages from trucks, and setup distribution which takes place from noon to 2 PM. Average weight of bulk food boxes are 20 to 30 pounds for most boxes. If items are heavier, volunteers work in teams to distribute weight safely. Volunteers will pack grocery bags from the bulk items and distributed to families from noon to 2 pm, while maintaining social distancing. Please help with clean up and break down, recycling after the event.

**** IMPORTANT ******
This is a COVID-!9 response to help the community. All safety protocols must be followed to ensure everybody s safety. Only sign up if you can answer NO to all the following questions:

1. Have you experienced any flu or cold like symptoms in the last 14 days?
2. Have you travelled to another city in the last 14 days that has a high rate of infection (New York, Los Angeles, Italy, Spain etc.)?
3. Have you been in contact with anybody that is tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days or exhibit COVID-19 symptoms?
4. Have you been tested positive COVID-19, suspect or know you have the virus in the last 30 days?
5. Do you have a fever over 100 degrees now?

**** IMPORTANT ******

If you answer yes to any of the questions, I respectfully ask you to stay home and attend to your own care and follow CDC s guidelines for self quarantine and speak to a doctor to see if you need to get tested. Your healthy and safety is the highest priority.

If you answer no to all the questions above, then we would love to have your help, as hundreds of family are in need of food in the neighborhood.
