Instagram offers a way to combine words and images into a new kind of creative experience: think beyond Instapoetry!
We'll explore some of the different ways creative writers are using this unique platform, and talk approaches and tools for creating a successful and engaging account. Bring along your ideas and smartphone. No prior writing experience is required.
Please note: this session focuses on Instagram as a creative (rather than a marketing) platform. The focus is on creative writing and image-making.
C4C Sessions are informal, explorative, hands-on experiences led by Pitt people with a passion for creating. You do not need to be a professional to lead a Session, and participants need no prior experience in the topic.
Amateurs and beginners are welcome: all you need is an open mind and a willingness to play! All materials and supplies are provided.
Facilitated by Erik Schuckers, Center for Creativity: The Workshop. Erik is a Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net nominee whose writing has appeared in Assaracus, Impossible Archetype, The James Franco Review, Chelsea Station, PANK, and elsewhere.
This session is free and open to all members of the University of Pittsburgh community: students, faculty, and staff.
