Sensory Input & Movement - Indio, CA 2020

Description Sensory and motor classes include activities to build coordination, posture, strength and flexibility and can include the use of gymnastic mats, scooter games, socialization and team work. Classes are designed to help increase body and spatial awareness as well as self-confidence for individuals with a cognitive and/or physical disability. This class is for youth with disabilities, participants must have a doctor diagnosed cognitive or physical disability to participate. A Special Needs form must be completed, in addition to the standard waiver, prior to the class start date. This paperwork can be downloaded from the DRD website or completed in person at a community center front counter.
