Taking place at La Semilla Community Farm, each camp is full of exciting education based activities that connect history, science, ecology, farming in the desert, culinary arts, health, arts and crafts.
Snacks and Lunch Provided
A place where kids become explorers. Campers learn through hands on farm activities and discover the important world of soil ecology, bugs and creepy crawlies. They will also learn how to prepare delicious meals and the story of food.
You Grow Chica campers will learn about the important role women and girls play in, both past and present, nourishing and healing our communities through agriculture and food. Campers will learn from inspiring local women about food as medicine, traditional food sources of iron, native pollinators, and three sisters gardens. Hands on activities include: planting, composting, culinary arts, nature bracelets, lady bug release, and making healing salves and lotions.
