Evan Apodaca presents his progress on Secret City through a series of surrealistically animated video projections critically analyzing how the military Industrial complex shapes San Diego’s geopolitics, activism and private sector. By using facial motion-capture with interviewees, Apodaca generates animations of the city, it’s local public statues and architecture to share dialogue revealing history hidden beneath it’s Southern Californian facade.
*This event is invite only and is intended to test the content and early iterations of Secret City on a controlled audience.
