From Scratch to Success: Creating a Business in Public and Higher Education

I know how difficult it is to establish a career as an independent consultant in public or higher education.

During this workshop, I will guide you through the entire process of how to start your own business in public or higher education the same day.

Every attendee will leave emboldened with the skills and resources necessary to move forward in their entrepreneurial journey, guaranteed.

I started my career as a Higher Education Consultant to help people go to college, grad school or trade school with scholarships. College and higher education, in general, is costly and cryptic. I wanted to provide a solution to this problem, so I started my own business to help people navigate higher education with scholarships.

In March 2018, I had a Facebook Live conversation with Congressman Beto O' Rourke about higher education reform.

In May 2018, I graduated magna cum laude from the Honors College at the University of Houston with a BBA in Marketing and a BA in Liberal Arts. 

In August, I published my second book, The Scholarship Starter Guide for New College Students: How I Earned $80,000 in Scholarships. I also kicked off my first city-wide Scholarship and Student Loan Workshop Tour.

In September, I developed a relationship with MassMutual to help me sponsor the Scholarship and Student Loan Workshop Tour. I also developed a relationship with a Financial Literacy Educator to support the tour as well. 

In October, I celebrate the 2-year anniversary of my business, Achievement Consulting by Nnenna Umelloh.

In November, I was accepted into grad school in London. 

In December, I ended my tour in El Paso where Beto personally attended my Scholarship and Student Loan Workshop.
