New School Sex Ed: Relatable Classes for Everyday People

Sex, Intimacy and Your BodyDo you have the relationships you want and the love life you desire?Or are you fumbling around, doing your best with limited tools and crossing your fingers for a stroke of good luck?For most us, early sex education was a joke and we’ve relied on faulty “on the job training” to figure it out.  Meanwhile, our culture bombards us with confusing messages about love and sex and it’s hard to find good information about authentic intimacy and pleasure.That’s why we designed and updated our 12 part series on Understanding Sexuality.  To break down the basics and fill in the gaps. Our classes are filled with relatable information and tangible tools, covering so much of what got skipped the first time.  We offer a no nonsense, informal environment where all you need is an open mind and some curiosity. This class is a perfect opportunity to get all of your questions answered, and get answers for questions you didn't even know you had. Male Anatomy of Arousal: All About Men’s Bodies February 19th, 2019 We’ll talk about anatomy, pleasure, and sexual function.  We’ll discuss healthy masculinity and how to communicate attraction in a post #metoo culture.  This is a safe place for men to discuss their experiences and get some questions answered. Architecture of Arousal: Sexual Accelerators and Brakes March 19, 2019 Arousal is complex and desire can feel fickle.  Sex research has shown that we’re all born with a unique libido.  When you combine that with daily pressures and busy schedules, intimacy can take a back seat. Come and learn about the way your day to day life supports or hinders your desire for sex. Love Languages and Core Erotic Themes: Understanding Yours April 16,2019 We all have a way that we like to give and receive love and pleasure.  Understanding your unique blueprint is like discovering your own users manual. This class will get you closer to understanding what makes you tick, so it’s easier to share it with others. Your Brain and Pleasure:  The Difference Between Pleasure and Happiness May 21st, 2019 Our brains are hardwired for reward. Reward is WONDERFUL, and can actually hold us back from feeling fulfilled. Come for an introduction to the neuroscience of pleasure and how it affects you. In this class we show you how to transform compulsion and yearning to fulfillment and contentment. Vulnerability and Intimacy:  The Key to Success is Hidden In Plain Sight June 18th, 2019 We all know that intimacy comes from shared experiences, so why is it so hard to get the depth of connection we’re looking for? In this class, we’ll discuss the common pitfalls that keep us from creating the relationships we want. Living a more authentic, heart centered life will bring more satisfaction into every aspect of your life, including the bedroom. Consent and Choice: Access More Pleasure by Connecting With Your Desire July 16th,2019 Do you know how you like to be touched? How do you know? Are you referencing an experience you had in the past, or have you checked in right now? Learn how to slow down and challenge the patterns of your predictive mind by tuning into and communicating your present time desires, giving yourself and your partner the gift of true, alive connection. Communication Class 1: The Art of Speaking Your Desire August 20th, 2019 Knowing what you want is step one, asking for what can feel entirely different. Authentic communication requires courage and vulnerability. In this class we’ll practice getting comfortable with self expression and uncover new ways to talk to your lover without totally freaking them out. Communication Class 2: The Art of Active Listening September 17th, 2019 “The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place” -George Bernard Shaw It’s really hard to listen when we’re thinking about what to say next. Come and learn how presence, curiosity, and empathic listening can transform your relationships. Sex and Spirituality: Presence, Pleasure and Connection October 15th, 2019 You don’t have to believe in God to experience spiritual bliss, but you do have to be open to new possibilities. In this class we’ll discuss some basic classical and neo tantric principles that can transform your relationship to your body and pleasure both in and out of the bedroom. Body Awareness and Sexual Energy: Generative Life Force And You November 19th, 2019 Most of us walk around believing that we already know what our body is capable of. The truth is we can’t possibly understand how much pleasure is available to us unless we explore it. We will share a Taoist erotic practice, suitable for everyone regardless of spiritual beliefs. Working with your own body’s energy can revitalize your entire system and open new sexy potentials. Rewilding and Embracing your Animal Nature: Exploring the Art of Communal Connection December 17th, 2019 In our disconnected world, it’s easy to forget that we are animals, pack animals to be exact.  We are deeply connected to each other and the natural world, regardless of whether we notice it or not.
