Per Scholas Greater Boston - Information Session and Enrollment Test

Greetings,

Thank you for applying to Per Scholas Greater Boston! If you have not yet filled out our online application, please do so here before continuing.

The next step in your enrollment process is to attend an Information Session where we will share more about the program and answer any questions you may have. Attendees will also take the Test for Adult Basic Education (TABE) to determine eligibility. Candidates who pass the exam with a 10th-grade level will be scheduled for an interview.

PREPARE:

• Register: Choose your date above and RSVP. No walk-ins.

• Bring a Photo ID: (Driver’s License, State ID or Passport is required to enter our building)

• Be on Time: The information session and testing will take about 3 hours. Late arrival will prevent you from participating

• Dress for Success: Business/professional interview attire is preferred.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

• Our next course will be 15 weeks long and begins this fall.

• The program includes CompTIA A+ and Network+ Certification, career development training, and job search support.

• Classes are 9:00 – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. You must be available for training for the entire duration of the program.

LOCATION:

• 255 Main Street, 8th floor Cambridge, MA

TRANSPORTATION:

• We strongly recommend traveling by public transportation. Street parking may be difficult.

• Applicants will not be excused to feed a meter or move a vehicle.

TABE STUDY RESOURCES:

You will have 65 minutes total to complete the TABE, broken down as follows:

• Reading comprehension (25 minutes)

• Mathematics computation (15 minutes), and

• Applied Mathematics (25 minutes).

Calculators are NOT permitted, but you will be able to use scratch paper. We strongly recommend you prepare for this exam in advance. Please see training materials and a practice test at the following links:
