SBA Small Business Lender Match

Looking for financing for your small business? Meet SBA lenders during this event, which will follow a "speed coaching" format.

Entrepreneurs seeking financing to start their own small business or grow an existing small business will have the opportunity to meet representatives from SBA participating lenders during this event, which will follow a “speed coaching” format. Attendees will be scheduled for three 15-minute, one-on-one meetings where they can pitch their financing needs and learn more about how the small business financing process works. Attendees are encouraged to come with an elevator speech, a business plan and business financial information (if available).

Lenders participating in the SBA Lender Matchmaking Fair include: BankIowa, Bankers Trust, Cedar Rapids Bank and Trust, Community Savings Bank, Farmers State Bank, Farmers & Merchants Savings Bank, Great Western Bank, Hills Bank, U.S. Bank and Wells Fargo.

Staff from the SBA’s Iowa District Office, along with SBA resource partners including SCORE, America’s SBDC – Iowa, and the Iowa Women’s Business Center, will provide small business counseling, business planning assistance and other management and technical assistance at the event. Representatives from the Iowa Economic Development Authority, Iowa MicroLoan and SBA Certified Development Companies (CDCs) will also be available.

The event is free, but space and appointments will be limited to the first 30 registrants. Deadline for registration is Monday, September 9th.

NOTE: The purpose of your 15 minute sessions is to introduce your business and briefly discuss your financing needs with a lender. Attendance at the SBA Lender Matchmaking Fair does not guarantee that you will get a small business loan.
