Research orientation classes, taught by reference librarians and dealing with many aspects of using the Library and the collections will now be taught on Saturdays. The Saturday orientations are themed and focus on providing researchers an opportunity to learn more about the Library, its collections, expertise, services, and programs. Each month at least one "Research Orientation to the Library of Congress" course is taught. On other Saturdays, reference librarians from the Library's special collections and area studies reading rooms will provide an orientation to using those materials according to the following schedule. Please note that the maximum class size is 30 researchers unless otherwise indicated.

Patrons are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes prior to the orientation. Seating is available on a first-come basis. Registration does not guarantee entry after the orientation start time.
