Rule of Thumb

Rule of Thumb tells the quirky and thought-provoking story of Ana and Monika, two peppy Swedish girls who enter a hitchhiking contest and find themselves on a series of strange, spooky, and hilarious rides in the untamed borderlands of Serbia and Bulgaria. With heart and humor, Rule of Thumb explores themes of migration, the global Other, and what it means to be one Europe containing a Sweden and a Bulgaria and by extension, one United States containing a Mississippi and a Massachussetts.
