Rosa/Farrokh, Back-to-School morning

Rosa Oppenheim and yours truly will be conducting another back-to-school session, 1.5 hours each in the morning of 10/20, in RBS, Newark.

Rosa will be discussing the role of gerrymandering on election results. Gerrymandering is the manipulation of electoral constituencies to artificially create an advantage for one party. Perfect timing for this presentation with the election getting closer!

Modern Monetary Theory: Powerful Tool, Con Job, or an indication of "Tiny Macroeconomic Engine Rooms?"

Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) is a new policy prescription that essentially says that fiscal policy should drive the economy, and not monetary policy, and the only role for the latter should be to keep printing money. The new "Green Jobs Program" is to be funded by MMT.
