Prairie Grass Cafe (601 Skokie Blvd.; Northbrook, IL) is flying the W this week! The flat screen TVs on every wall will be playing the game and Chef Sarah Stegner has created a special menu to celebrate the Cubs first World Series appearance in 71 years. The specials will be available for dinner Tuesday, Nov. 1, and Wednesday, Nov. 2, assuming the Cubbies win on Tuesday, from 5 PM until closing. Please see dinner hours below.
Warm up with some appetizers. Choose from Parmesan signature spice blend popcorn, kernels locally sourced from Three Sisters Garden, ($5); warm pretzel bread with gooey gruyere cheese dip ($6); and Honey cayenne roasted peanuts ($6).
For entrees, the Double Stack Burger with chili, melted cheddar and a fried farm egg ($14) beats ball park dogs every time. Dress up the burger even more by adding local bacon ($2) and/or fried sliced jalapeños ($1).
Green Line beer ($4) will be on tap.
