The Friends of the Robert Crown Center (FRCC) is partnering with the City of Evanston and the Evanston Public Library to build a new $48 million Robert Crown Library and Community, which when completed will create one of only two centers in the country with this wide range of educational and recreational choices available all in one place. FRCC has already surpassed the original $10 million fundraising goal and is well on its way to the stretch goal of $15 million, but we need your help to get us there.
The current Robert Crown Community Center in Evanston, Illinois, was built in 1974 and is the city’s most used public facility. When completed Robert Crown will feature two NHL size ice rinks and three turf fields, along with a 6,000 sq. ft. library, new child care facility, gym, indoor running track and so much more. It will provide an opportunity for children and adults to play dozens of sports, including hockey, speed skating, figure skating, soccer, football, lacrosse, field hockey and basketball. It also hosts summer camps, preschool, tutoring initiatives, lunch and nutrition programs, community meetings, and other public services.
Though the Crown Center is a beloved shared resource, our community's needs have far outgrown the current facility. With your help, we will provide future generations with a remarkable place to learn, play, and grow. Help secure our community's vibrant future. Join our campaign today!
