At NAWBO Phoenix, we recognize that there is a wealth of women business owners that are not represented in our chapter and we want to change that. 1 in 3 women business owners are women of color; 5% of millennials are business owners.

Our goal is to have the members of our chapter represent the community at large. NAWBO Phoenix is focused on increasing diversity and fostering inclusion this year and we need your assistance to Rise Up!

The Rise Up Program is a 5-month program targeted to attract a diverse group of women business owners, who want to grow their businesses, while also having conversations about the benefits of inclusion and diversity.

Join us on February 22nd between 9:30 a.m. and 12:00 noon for a discussion about Bringing Technology & Systems to Your Business. This is the final program in the series.

The brilliant Brandy Lawson, owner of Fiery FX, a boutique digital agency, will be on hand to give us technology tips and strategies for our businesses. Her mission is to help entrepreneurs maximize their impact and success by making the right digital decisions for their business. Her zone of genius is connecting business goals with marketing & technology strategies.

Kimberly O'Bannon is a former engineer, who gave birth to quadruplets that changed her career path, thus leading her to entrepreneurship. She has owned Stellar Apps + Techie Hacks for over 5 years, and has built mobile Apps for speakers, coaches and local businesses. Last year, Kimberly added an incredible software program that allows a person to turn their Facebook business page into a Lead Generating, Connection Creating, and Online-Sales Hub, similar to a website.

NAWBO Phoenix is intentionally seeking to create a cross cultural and multi-generational community of women, to help strengthen the local economy.

Who Should Come to Rise Up?

• Women business owners in the startup phaase of their business who are seeking to be part of a community where they can be supported.

• Women business owners with established businesses who would like to belong to a national group that builds strong alliances among each other and seeks ways to create change in business culture. This program is for you as well.

• Men who support the mission of women business owners.

The Rise Up Program is:

• An opportunity to apply for one of eight scholarships for NAWBO membership.

• Access to greater networks of diverse individuals and businesses in the greater Phoenix area.

• Opportunities for business growth and learning.

• Ways to interact with others who have been where you are in your business ownership.
