RISC Nehemiah Action Assembly

Join 1,700 people from across the Richmond region for the largest interfaith public gathering in central Virginia! 

At the Nehemiah Action Assembly, we transcend racial, socioeconomic, and religious barriers to bring about a greater degree of justice and equality. We hear the stories of those affected by problems like unemployment, unequal education, and mental illness, and secure commitments from our local elected officials and decision-makers to solve the root causes of these problems.

This year we will address:

-Elementary reading in Eastern Henrico County Public Schools

-Access to mental health treatment in the Richmond region

-Recruiting and hiring initiatives for healthcare careers at our region's hospitals

-Investment in affordable housing for the City of Richmond
