Recruiting Adoptive and Foster Parents - Let It Be Us

Become a foster parent and/or adopt from foster care. Learn about the children who are waiting as we present four different licensing agencies as well as a speaker from DCFS who will explain the process.  Our guest speaker is Carolyne Osterheus, a mother who has adopted four children through foster care.  Becoming a foster parent, and adopting from foster care, is free and does not discriminate against age, income, gender, marital status or sexual orientation.  Whether you have your foster care license or not, this is a great way to learn how to start or continue your journey in adoption from foster care. Let It Be Us hosts four foster parent and adoptive parent recruitment events per year and each event presents at least 4 different agencies. We encourage parents to attend as many of these events as possible. The keynote speakers are heroes in the world of adoption from foster care and the information they have for our audience is invaluable. It’s also a great way to review four or more agencies at once to get an idea about which agency might be best fit for you and your family.
