Real Estate Photography is a course covering the fundamentals of shooting real estate. Students will gain an understanding of equipment, techniques and post processing, through classroom instruction, a location shoot, post processing lab, and post-class online discussion and photo sharing.
The initial classroom portion will cover the importance of appealing property photos, quipment used, camera controls, composition, fundamentals of lighting including demonstration. Students will get hands on experience with the material covered through a location shoot The location shoot will be 4 groups of 3-4 students rotating through 4 stations: building exteriors and 3 interior scenes (1. windowed room 2. kitchen 3. additional space/design detail/vignette).
The class will conclude in a computer lab with post processing of images in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. Learning will continue after the class through online discussion and photosharing moderated by Aaron Hoffman.
Instructor Bio:
Aaron Hoffman is a freelance real estate photographer. For Aaron, photography is a lifelong pursuit. Combined with an interest in architecture, design and construction, shooting real estate is a perfect fit and rewarding career. Teaching and mentoring fulfills Aaron’s drive to share and grow knowledge, experience and skills.
Experience Level: Beginner to Intermediate: Attendee should be familiar with the basic functions and menus of their camera.
Requirements: Ideal Setup: DSLR camera with ~10-25mm lens (for crop sensor) or ~17-35mm (for full frame),Detachable speedlight, tripod, memory card, charged batteries for camera and flash, notebook.
