RAW presents Katherine Helen Fisher
RAW presents CHARACTERS a new dance work choreographed and performed by Katherine Helen Fisher in collaboration with Georgia Tech’s Institute for People In Technology and Safety Third Productions.
A continuation of Fisher’s deep interest in interdisciplinary collaboration and its capacity to reinvigorate dance, the mixed media piece explores the intersectionality of identity and technology, and the human need for ritual through dance and visual media. Fisher brings a feminist consciousness to the engineering of emerging technologies surveing the relationship between identity and the body though moving images.
The SAFEhouseArts showing of CHARACTERS will be a work-in-progress showing which will welcome the audience onto the stage in an experimanetal, interactive labratory.
Sponsored by RAW (resident artist workshop), a residency program of SAFEhouse for the Performing Arts
