Rapid response training to recognize and respond to signs and symptoms of distress and crisis for populations impacted by the current socio-political environment.
Lurie Children’s Center for Childhood Resilience will provide a 2-hour training on how the current sociopolitical climate has affected marginalized youth. Attendees will learn what to say and do to instill hope, decrease distress, and increase a sense of control over their futures and environments. Additionally, the training will include how to identify signs of distress and suicidality and will discuss how to link youth to mental health services if needed.
