(But not the kind you have to fight to the death for.)

Raks Geek is based in Chicago, but they've made waves nationally and internationally on MSN, The Daily Mail, and WGN-TV through their commitment to blend a high degree of artistic and technical mastery with fun, creativity, and themes from nerd culture.

FAQs

What time should I arrive?

Our gremlins open the doors at 7:30pm. Join them for a beer or a cocktail! (But please don't order them water. It... does not go well when they get wet.)

Are there ID or minimum age requirements?

Are you as old as The Incredibles? How about Spider-Man 2? Congratulations! You can nerd out with us!

(Please be at least 16 years old.)

What are my transportation/parking options?

1. Ask your transporter chief to send you.

2. Park your hovercraft on the roof.

3. Take the Addison Red Line, Belmont Brown Line, or the Clark Street bus (#22). (This is a great option.)

4. Bend space and time.

5. Take a cab, Lyft, or Uber. (Another great option!)

6. Drive, but River Song really doesn't recommend it. She won't say why. Something about spoilers. (Street parking is tough but available - we've also had good luck with Spothero.)

What's the refund policy? (New policy update - 3/10/20)

As a tiny live performance group, we usually have a no refunds policy for tickets - we rely on ticket sales to pay our performers and crew, cover theatre rentals, pay for advertising, etc. But we really want you to take care of yourself and stay home if you're sick.

So effective immediately, if you are sick, we will exchange your tickets for our shows at the Newport Theater so that they're good for the following month's show instead.

Please email boxoffice@raksgeek.com by noon the day of the performance in order to exchange your tickets.

Is the theater accessible?

We apologize: The Newport Theater is located on the second floor of an older building and isn't wheelchair accessible. However, if you have other needs please don't hesitate to contact us at boxoffice@raksgeek.com - we're happy to accommodate any requests we can.

Do you have a bar?

We carry a wide variety of drinks from all over the galaxy, with and without alcohol. In fact, we just got a shipment of Romulan Ale. Also Data recently brought over something green. No idea what it is, but let's drink it together and find out!
