Notably talented as a musician, recording engineer and producer, Cecil’s deep love for music stems from a childhood soundtrack of old jazz and gospel records, an adolescence inspired by hip hop’s golden era, and finding himself on the dancefloor

BODY OF SOUND is a celebration of the body as your most essential instrument…in life, in play, and in practice. This interactive rhythmic adventure includes body percussion, stepping, clapping, movement and voice. It allows discovery and freedom through creative expression that lends itself to every aspect of your life. As you tune your own instrument, you become attuned to the ensemble around you everywhere and your place within it. Alyssa DeCaro brings her 20+ years as a facilitator and has the natural ability to shape the collective field, transforming an ordinary room into an inspiring space where practice and play intertwine.

AshoFem is an East Bay-based women’s percussion group that rocks the house with music inspired from drumming cultures around the world including West Africa, Brazil, Bali and more. These ladies express feminine musical strength in traditional pieces as well as original work through drums, body percussion, and vocals, while getting the crowd on their feet with interactive rhythm . AshoFem empowers women and girls to find strength and confidence through embodied rhythm. Their uniquely diverse set will inspire your heart and heat up the dance floor!

Full Dinner Plate: Moroccan Chicken Tagine over jasmine rice with a side of harissa seasonal vegetables drizzled with a garlic herb yogurt sauce. Vegetarian Tagine option available. 

Smaller bite: Hummus plate with fresh pita and crudités

Dessert: Homeade Olive Oil Cake with fresh citrus
