Qualified Rigger & Signal Person - Train the Trainer

Cal OSHA requires that all riggers be trained to safely perform rigging operations by a qualified person. This class is for everyone that wants to Train their employees to perform rigging operations safely at their worksites. You can become a trainer if you have previously attended a qualified rigger course.
Class includes full training curriculum and a CD, DVD for training others in rigging operations. You also get a wallet card template to create your own wallet cards and certify workers at their own facility or jobsite.
WHAT WE TEACH your Trainer– Crane Safety Basics- QUALIFIED RIGGER Safety- slings, hitches and basic rigging equipment – NEW POWER LINE CLEARANCE REGULATIONS- Crane Signals (hand & voice commands).
Fed OSHA 1926.1400, Cal OSHA 1610 & 4999 Qualified Rigger standards & Fed OSHA 1910.184 – 1926.251 are covered along with practical demonstrations of site inspection crane signals and rigging applications. Trainers learn competent person knowledge of how to safely plan a crane project, basic rigging equipment used on cranes and how to signal a crane properly with hand or voice commands.
NEW, electrical power line clearances, proximity zones, tag-line rules, crane set-up and critical lift calculations are also taught.
We use our own 35 years of experience and Crosby’s Lift Guide Instruction Tools to train your Trainer how to perform inspections on slings and lifting gear. This class is good for both Construction & General Industry applications.
* CLASSES with less than 10 students may be rescheduled. All safety classes are payable in advance. Cancellation with less than 1 week written notice is non-refundable. Students will be placed in a future class if they cancel or “no show” with less than 1 week notice. Minimum class size requirements are subject to change without notice.
