• What we'll do:
Do you have an interest in learning to program in one of the easiest and most prolific languages of our time?
Come and join as as we journey into collaboratively learning Python from scratch.
This will be a series of discussion groups that aims to teach everyone the basics of programming computers using Python. We will cover the basics of how one constructs a program from a series of simple instructions in Python3. There will be no pre-requisites and we will avoid all but the simplest mathematics. Anyone with moderate computer experience should be able to master the materials. We will cover Chapters 1-5 of the textbook “Python for Everybody” by Charles Severance (this material is available for free online at the links below). Once completed, you will be ready to take more advanced programming courses.
• What to bring:
- your own laptop if you would like to follow along
- some enthusiasm and eagerness to collaborate and learn from others in the group!
• Important to know:
