The North Carolina Writers’ Network’s joint Durham/Orange Counties monthly writing event for June 2019 features traditionally-published Triangle author Scott Reintgen:
This session will offer attendees a peek behind the curtain into the world of publishing. How hard is it to get an agent? What happens after getting an agent? What's the truth about big deals versus small deals? How does the NYT bestseller list actually work? After publishing his debut novel in 2017, Scott Reintgen has become a student of the industry. He's contracted for seven books through Penguin Random House and wants to use his expertise to offer both hopeful and challenging truths about navigating the world of publishing, before and after you find that coveted agent. Attendees will be able to ask any question they have about the industry, and Scott will offer honest insights into what can seem like a very mysterious process.
