Come with Stephen to explore the main collections of the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. He gives the stories behind the paintings through explaining forgotten symbols and icons. We will explore the cultural messages surrounding the artists lives, virtues, and vices. On this small group guided, 2-hour, walking tour you will see exemplary examples of Medieval Art, Renaissance Art, Sacred Art, and Impressionism Art. Stephen will show you art from the famous Rembrandt, Claude Monet, Leonardo da Vinci, and JMW Turner. Along with other artists, that you may not have know about, but are equally important to the collections at the museum.
