Private Lessons

Private sewing lessons are for those who want to learn to sew by using a sewing machine, serger or hand sewing . You can learn the basics for getting started or work on more challenging projects to develop your sewing know-how. This is the class for the future Designer, Tailor, Dressmaker or Hobbyist who wants professionally made garments. You will set your own curriculum. Benson is a Master Couture Sewer with 39 years experience sewing professionally. You may also choose to learn Pattern Making Skills, Hand Finishing and Detailing skills and Fashion Sketching.
Select from a one-time lesson to get some guidance and get started sewing! Choose a package of 3 classes that will give you more one-on-one instruction time to help advance your skills and confidence.
Class Dates:
Tuesday Evenings in 2020
Class Duration: a 2-hour class
Age: Teen or Adult
Skill Level: Advanced, Intermediate or Beginner
Fee: NOTE you may need to scroll to find your date, the system goes in order of ticket amount.
$190 for a private, 2-hour, one-on-one lesson (You Must sign up for a 2 hour lesson to be able to choose additional hours)
$75 for an additional hour (Please Sign up for a 2 hoour lesson to purchase additional hours)
$80 per person for a semi-private, 3 -hour lesson (limit 3 people)
Fabric Requirements: Not provided. Requirements are dependent on project to be sewn. We can discuss after your lesson is scheduled. You will get 20% off of purchases from Detroit Fabric Company
(Booked Classes will be refunded - 30% cancellation fee unless there has been an emergency)
