Presence and Awareness with Horses 6/27/19

Come enjoy 75 minutes learning about and from our herd of horses. Horses are masters at presence and mindfulness, as such they offer a great space for practicing presence and awareness.

The first 30-45 minutes will be spent learning a little bit about horses, getting comfortable in their presence and talking a bit about what presence is. The remaining 30-45 minutes will be spent in quiet contemplation as we practice being present, aware, and in the moment. We will sit and share space with the horses as they see fit. Journaling to record thoughts and feelings is encouraged.

Please look for an email with directions to the facility and where we will be meeting after purchasing your ticket. We are located on a 40+ acre facility, so we will send a map of where we are located!

What to expect: Horses. The sun. Dirt. Flies. Weather. The outdoors. Horses. This time of year there are flies around the horses, and sometimes mosquitoes in the evening. Be aware.

What to bring: Feel free to come wearing bug repellent. When the sun is up it can be bright and warm, a hat or sunglasses may be desired. Water is a must in the desert! Journals will be provided on your first visit for those who desire it. You may bring your own as well. Chairs will be provided.

As we will be interacting with the horses (LARGE animals who occasionally, accidentally step on toes), you must wear some sort of solid closed toe shoes. No sandals, crocs, ballet slippers, etc. please.
